-Having to "come out of the closet" not just to his parents who are pastors but to a little boy who has only known him to be attracted to women

-Moving to southern California and realizing that there isn't enough money and how gogo dancing may bring ease to his bank account

-Loving men who haven't healed so that ideas of forever kisses transform time and time again to tears as predictable as tomorrows

-Wondering if God hates him like the rest of her children on Earth
