... a year of transition to joy

After a year of hormone replacement therapy, she finally reached the genesis of her life. It was time for the world to meet the authentic Deanna. She anticipated being greeted by hostility and hate, assuming the rest of her life would be spent shielding herself from an unwelcoming world.

She found something quite different.

Most people that she encountered that first year didn't approach her with contempt but with genuine curiosity and questions. What does being trans even mean? What does it feel like? Are there men interested in trans women?
