"Club toilets have taught me more about sisterhood than any book."

Cornered into a flooding toilet cubicle and determined not to be rescued again, Rosie distracts herself with memories of bathroom encounters. Drunken heart-to-hearts by dirty sinks, friendships forged in front of crowded mirrors, and hiding together from trouble.

But with her panic rising and no help on its way, can she keep her head above water?

From internationally acclaimed writer and one of the UK's most prominent trans voices, Travis Alabanza (Burgerz), comes a hilarious and devastating tour of women's bathrooms, who is allowed in and who is kept out.

This edition was published to coincide with its premiere at the Bush Theatre, London in December 2020. The production was the first play to reopen the theatre following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Travis Alabanza is a writer, performer and theatre maker based in London, via Bristol. Their writing, performance and public discourse surrounding trans and Black identities has had them noted as one of the most prominent emerging trans voices in the arts and beyond. Alabanza's work has appeared on BBC Front Row, The Verb, and Metro; Alabanza themself has been listed in the Evening Standard as one of the 25 most influential Londoners under 25 and placed on the Dazed100 list. For stage, Travis's writing credits include Burgerz (Total Theatre Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival), which was voted one of The Guardian Readers Top Shows of The Year in 2019, and In Tandem, as part of the Paines Plough 2020 Autumn Festival The Place I Call Home, a project exploring experiences in relation to the pandemic across Europe
