Sometimes just a smile, opening the door for someone, a hug, or helping someone in need makes more of an impact than we can ever imagine. Get out there and love someone today. It is up to us to take our communities back and rebuild. Love takes whatever shape and language we need at the exact moment need arrives. Love is bullets and butterflies and pain and smiles. This is how love and I communicate, through the most intimate of sounds hidden in the poems I am forced to write.

Shockie G is a Black, Queer, poet residing outside the great city of Pittsburgh, PA with her 2 cats. A slam poet and 3x author, she strives to create connections and build community. She is a strong supporter of mental health and removing the stigma within these communities. She also believes in the preservation of Black and 2SLGBTQIA+ history at a time when others strive to destroy it. When you have completed this collection she asks that you please leave a review on www.goodreads.com or other platforms.
