J. W. Steed is a pseudonym for the author of more than a dozen mainstream novels. He also writes memoir and humorous essays. He teaches creative writing in the metro NYC area and is active in the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writer's Association (SFWA). Frank Slater pops in from time to time. He is a historian of mid-twenty-first century science fiction and has been involved in the creation of the retrospective oral history of speculative arts project, Hindsight. When not moving through the temporal sphere, he has occasionally partaken in writing science fiction. Much of his work is forthcoming, but his stories have also appeared in Simultaneous Times and various critical journals.
