This sixth volume of the Hobbs series shows how a caring, inter-generational community can help everyone make the right connections. After a dark winter of loss and isolation, the summer people are returning, including forty-something Melissa Morgenstern, a trust lawyer from Boston. Melissa has been working remotely since the pandemic began. She has temporarily moved to Maine to comfort her widowed mother. Graf, Elena: - In addition to the books in the Hobbs series, Elena Graf has published four historical novels set in Europe in the early 20th century. Lies of Omission, the third volume in the Passing Rites Series, won a Golden Crown Literary Society award for best historical fiction and a Rainbow Award. The fourth volume, Acts of Contrition also won a Goldie and a Rainbow Award. The author pursued a Ph.D. in philosophy but ended up in the accidental profession of publishing, where she worked for almost four decades. She lives with her wife in coastal Maine.
