Veterinarian Jodi Bowman has lost confidence in her skills after a series of bad outcomes leave her questioning her every move. Her assistant Cole Jameson offers the support she needs to get back on her feet, and as their mutual affection deepens, Jodi wonders if Cole might not be as straight as she appears. Cole lost everything in a workplace romance once before, and she has no interest in allowing history to repeat itself. But can she resist Jodi, and her own heart?

As wildlife carers Charlie and Pip settle into their new relationship, immigration challenges threaten to tear them apart. When all four women confront the wrath of the Australian wilderness, will love be enough to guide them?

About the Author
Alexander, Mardi: - Mardi lives on a farm high up on the mountain tablelands of the Great Dividing Range in New South Wales, along with her partner, a myriad of cats and dogs, and the prerequisite farm animals. Her greatest frustration remains that neither she nor anyone else has been able to create the perfect water pump that never breaks down. Originating from the Mid North Coast of Australia, with big rivers, sun, surf, and sand all within reach, Mardi still counts among her greatest loves watching storms out to sea and sitting on a rock wall, fishing and watching the world go by. When not working full-time, Mardi is also a firefighter, a firefighting instructor, and a member of a local wildlife rescue service looking after orphaned, sick, and injured native Australian animals. A finalist in the Golden Crown Literary Awards with her debut book Twice Lucky, Mardi delights in sharing the richness of Australian culture and heritage in her works. Mardi can be contacted at mardialexander0@gmail.com Website: https: //mardialexander.wordpress.com/Eichler, Laurie: - Laurie Eichler holds a degree in natural resources conservation and outdoor recreation. She has worked with animals (wild and domesticated) her entire life, including several years spent in the veterinary field and equine industry at training and breeding facilities in New York, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast, whose activities include horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, bird-watching, photography, exploring the wilds of Australia, and, one of her favorite pastimes, walking with her pack of canines. Now a permanent resident of Australia, she is involved in rescuing and rehabilitating native Australian wildlife in New South Wales.
