Better Man is a true story. It begins when Bruce was a single gay man in college in North Carolina. The book walks the reader through the highs and lows of 3 significant relationships he experienced over a 10 year period, illustrated using "personal stories" that have been described as "funny and touching."

A memoir written for fellow hopeless romantics, Better Man "shares the ups and downs of dating with a lighthearted tone.

Written with the intention of helping young gay men avoid some of the pitfalls he did not, Bruce Langdon takes the reader through the soul searching and trying to figure out who we are when the 'gay scene' can be both a toxic and thrilling environment.

Bruce's story has been described as a "wildly unique tale", while another reader said Better Man "gives a real in sight to how gay life is. Bruce does not hold anything back in this juicy scandalous read.

Better Man "makes you feel less alone" by reminding readers "that we have all had our ups and downs with love and relationships." The author "truly allows you to see who he was, what he learned and who he has become" over the course of this story.

One reader described this book as, "A narrative that is clearly healing for the author, but provides a sense of support, love, and care for the reader."

Bruce's hope is that you will enjoy Better Man!

"Bruce Langdon is a 39 year old author of a couple of books currently living in Raleigh, NC. Bruce was born in Atlanta, GA but moved to Wilmington, NC in 2004 to attend college at UNCW. Bruce is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) (which is just a lengthy way of saying he's a therapist.) Bruce is a dog dad, a saltwater aquarium enthusiast, and he loves plants. His books, Better Man and Closure, are focused on the ups and downs of romantic relationships he's experienced, from the time he was in college forward. He hopes people will find humor in his books while also learning important lessons about who to date - and more importantly, who not to date - based on his past experiences and the things he's learned while navigating dating as a gay man and hopeless romantic."
