Vernon (Trey) Keeve III is a doctoral student in the English Education department at Columbia University, Teachers College where they are researching English curriculum through a lens of abolition for both secondary and junior college learning spaces. Their book Southern Migrant Mixtape (Nomadic Press) was the recipient of the PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Award in 2019.
