About a hundred years ago the world was changed, the fate of humanity thrown askew in an event currently known as "the Ignition". Magic flooded a world once bereft of it and creatures of fantasy began to appear. Humanity changed, shifted to compensate as their bodies were saturated with new mystic energy. The problem was, humanity wasn't the only species to change. Now in a world full of mutated animals, legendary creatures and even spirits, sapient races struggle to survive, clinging to one another in a few remaining major cities as violence and insanity run rampant in the surrounding wilds.

It is in such cities that we find a few particularly potent souls, each of them unknowingly seeking one another out. When one such soul stumbles upon a clue that might lead them to discovering the cause of the ignition, events are set in motion and these powerful souls begin to come together. For what? Only the future can tell.
